Hey, I am Ady Setyawan, founder of Roodebrug Soerabaia.
We starting this community in 2010 by making small tours visiting historical places in Surabaya related to the Battle of Surabaya in 1945. A year later more people come and join, we start to made video documentary by interviewing veterans and then we start to do historical research. Our first research was about Surabaya hidden fortification in surabaya during WW II era which been built by the Dutch, later we published a book tittled “Benteng Benteng Surabaya” (Forts in Surabaya). Right now we are doing research about Japanese Tunnel in Indonesia.
We are also working together with Dutch Non-Profit Organization (HistoriBersama) that always provide translated any dutch newspaper or article related to Indonesian History so it can be understood by both sides
